System Administrator

Join the area’s premier commercial real estate service firm as our portfolio expands. Individual is responsible for for managing and maintaining KeyPoint Partners’ computer systems and providing technical support for employees in the corporate headquarters and branch offices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.

 

  • Manages software installation, maintenance, and upgrades

  • Manages hardware installation, maintenance, and upgrades

  • Provides technical support for company personnel and assists in training

  • Manages network infrastructure, security, and authentication

  • Manages email, fax, and voice systems

  • Maintains network documentation and records procedures

  • Maintains system backups and prepares disaster recovery plans.  Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity

  • Manages printers and copiers

  • Manages company intranet and client extranets

  • Coordinates technology purchases with other departments

 

The System Administrator Reports directly to Chief Financial Officer/Partner.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. COMPUTER SKILLS: Deep knowledge and experience with Windows XP, Windows Server (2000, 2003, 2008), and IIS.  Experience with and ability to understand a variety of other software/systems is essential.  Some experience with SonicWall and Watchguard firewalls a plus. 

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Individual must have 5 years experience. Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices and phones.  Experience in supporting MS Office suite.  Experience supporting remote users (i.e. – Ras VPN).  Ability to multitask between daily support work and project tasks.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:  Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills necessary. Strong trouble-shooting skill.  Ability to communicate with, and provide technical solutions to, individuals and small groups who will have varying degrees of computer knowledge.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s license; employee is required to visit company sites in the local area and out of state.

 

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:  None necessary

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Must be able to work through issues by using critical analysis skills related to operational issues.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Percentage of time sitting, standing, working on a computer, reaching, lifting with a number of pounds likely, walking, driving, etc.

The Systems Administrator must be able to manage network services from the planning phase through the implementation and management phases.   Individual will interface with other team members, management and end-users on a regular basis.  After hours availability is required in order to respond to emergencies, and to perform system maintenance that cannot be completed during normal business hours.
