Giant Food Portfolio Takeover
Client’s Challenge

Not long after their acquisition of the mid-Atlantic Giant Food grocery store chain, KeyPoint Partner’s client Stop & Shop awarded the management contract for 27 Giant Food-anchored retail shopping centers in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey - a portfolio of approximately three million square feet in an entirely new retail territory.

With the awarding of the Giant Foods portfolio, KeyPoint Partners property management team executed an ambitious takeover plan which included establishing an office, absorbing and augmenting staff, establishing communications and accounting support, understanding leases and other key documents for 27 grocery-anchored centers, physical inspection of all properties, signage changeovers, and tenant communications. 



Today the KeyPoint Partners managed properties portfolio in the region has been significantly augmented, and KeyPoint Partners has been able to expand its services throughout the mid-Atlantic region, and beyond.
