KeyPoint Partners Negotiates Planet Fitness Lease In Augusta, ME

National Fitness Chain To Open At Capitol Shopping Center

BURLINGTON, MA (today) — KeyPoint Partners (KPP) negotiated a lease with a major multi-state licensee of Planet Fitness at Capitol Shopping Center, Augusta, Maine. Vice President of Leasing Don Mace represented the landlord in the transaction. Planet Fitness will open a 22,730 square foot premium fitness club in the grocery-anchored center.


Capitol Shopping Center is a 171,655 square foot center located on Western Avenue in Augusta, across from the Augusta State Airport. The center is anchored by Shaw’s Supermarket, Big Lots, and Dollar Tree. Other tenants include Applebee’s, AspenDental, Lamey Wellehan, and Jackson Hewitt.


“Planet Fitness is an outstanding traffic generator and major enhancement to the tenant mix at Capitol Shopping Center’, Mace says. “The licensee will be constructing a showcase facility which should draw 400 to 500 members a day.”
